Italian insurance broker signs the acquisition of TRIDENT SPECIAL RISKS (Hamburg, Germany)
CAMBIASO RISSO Group, leading insurance broking firm, with a strong worldwide presence in the shipping sector, have signed a contract for the 100% acquisition of Trident Special Risks Versicherungsmakler GmbH, an independent specialist insurance broker and BDVM member, headquartered in Hamburg, Germany.
TRIDENT SPECIAL RISKS is a family-oriented company, which was initially founded and managed by Leo Kissel, with Birte Kissel later joining the team in 2018 to eventually agree to manage the HR, Financial and Administrative part of the business. More than 10 years later, the company growth, especially as a boutique Special Risk and Marine Hull broking house, was mainly fuelled, not only by its highly successful relationships across the board, but also by its will and ability to constantly push towards ever more effective and scalable process digitization.
Under this new venture, Trident Special Risks will proudly join a Group that, through the strategic alliance with Diot- Siaci, currently ranks as the 3rd largest marine insurance broker worldwide, and the 2nd largest in Europe, and boasts a presence in more than 40 countries. Both Leo and Birte Kissel will continue in their capacity to manage the highly motivated and capable team in the Hamburg office and are excited about the opportunities that this next step will open for everyone involved.
This new acquisition allows Cambiaso Risso to step into the German market, with an office in Hamburg, one of the biggest shipping communities in Europe, and heads its Hull & Machinery business lines up to 9.500 vessels insured, from 20 different countries. The group staff reaches 300, with a total premium volume of USD 440 million and net revenue of USD 57 million, as an aggregate of broking, consultancy and shipping agency.
